The AQA is the largest unitary awarding body in the UK providing curriculum and assessment services worldwide. AQA administers a range of examinations for just over four million candidate entries per year. These include the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), the General Certificate of Education (GCE), the Advanced Vocational Certificates of Education (AVCE) and the General National Vocational Qualifications (GNVQs). AQA also undertakes contract work for the Department for Education and Skills through the marking of National Curriculum Key Stages 2 and 3 assessments in English, Mathematics and Science.
