Many commercial clients, particularly in the technological and scientific fields, often have documents that need notarising as a matter of urgency. This can cover a very broad range of areas, from the assignment of intellectual property rights to the granting of a Power of Attorney to give authority to a lawyer overseas to execute documents on the company’s behalf. I am based at the offices of Knights solicitors in Alderley Edge, at 28a London Road Alderley Edge, SK9 7DZ, but am happy to visit clients at their place of work in order to ensure documents are executed the same day if possible, from my home in Didsbury- I currently act for a number of clients Manchester and Cheshire clients including Umbro and Astrazeneca.
Many countries also require an additional document, known as an appostille, to be added by the British Foreign Office, which confirms that I am a genuine notary public, and some countries also require the documents to be sent to their Embassies.
