msp Tenant Showcase Success

Over 100 guests attended msp’s Tenant Showcase and Business Support event, which was held on the Science Park on Thursday, March 26th.

The event proved to be a resounding success with 15 current and former msp tenant companies taking the opportunity to showcase their innovative enterprises to the invited guests.

There were also exhibitions by a number of local media outlets as well as business support organisations such as Salford based training organisation Continuity Shop and the government funded Business Link NW, a business support, advice and information service.

Guest speaker at the event was TV personality and meteorologist, Fred Talbot, who highlighted that in this time of recession, it was confident, innovative companies such as those on the Science Park who are the future.

A former science teacher, Fred told the audience that he had always had a passion for science and he praised msp for the support it provides to its community of high tech tenant companies.

Jan Hilton, msp’s Business Development Manager, thanked Mr Talbot and all the exhibitors for taking part in the event and showing how local companies are exploiting the city region’s scientific knowledge and expertise.

Jan also announced the launch of msp’s new website (www.manchesterscienceparks.co.uk) and corporate network (www.mspcircuit.co.uk), two new websites designed to support the development of the Science Park’s high tech tenant companies.

“The new website, the mspCircuit corporate network and the msp tenant showcase are all examples of how msp is continuing to listen and respond to the needs of our tenant companies, supporting them throughout their development,” Jan commented.

“I am delighted so many of the people who are part of our community and support our community took the time to attend the showcase and see some of the innovative work being carried out on the Park.”
