Hot burgers straight off the barbecue, the soft melodies of a live jazz trio and even the odd burst of sunlight through the rain combined to ensure that msp’s annual July BBQ proved to be a success.
Some 200 hungry guests took a well earned break from the office or lab to join msp’s staff at the summer BBQ, which was held on the Science Park on Friday, July 24th.
This year, which marks msp’s 25th anniversary, was a particularly special occasion with the BBQ proving to be a fun filled occasion for the whole family.
A crafts table and goodie bags were provided for younger children while a balloon contortionist and an inflatable football shoot out was on hand to provide entertainment for all ages.
In addition, the jazz trio with msp’s ICT Manager Martin Heaton on guitar kept up the holiday atmosphere with a selection of summer tunes – despite the odd rain shower.
Jan Hilton, Business Development Manager at msp, expressed her thanks to the jazz trio and everyone who helped with the organisation of the BBQ, particularly the Café on the Park team who, led by Café Manager Mary Flanagan, were responsible for all the food on the day.
