Sarah Delaney (pictured) has been appointed Head of Compliance Services at Manchester health and safety compliance agency, Shieldyourself.
As Head of Compliance Services, Sarah will be responsible for managing the in-house and sub contractor teams, who provide Shieldyourself’s clients with compliance services. She will also provide advice to clients on environmental health issues.
Currently completing a Masters Degree in Occupational Health and Safety at the University of Salford, Sarah comes to the role from a background in Environmental Health.
In her previous position she was a Senior Environmental Health Officer at Wigan Council where she gained experience across a number of sectors, including the Food, Health and Safety Section.
She also has a wealth of experience in the private sector, having worked as a Catering Manager with responsibility for 22 staff prior to returning to University to undertake her Masters Degree in 2006.
Mark Flanagan, Managing Director at Shieldyourself, which is based at Manchester Science Park, welcomed Sarah to the Shieldyourself management team.
He commented: “With her in-depth knowledge of compliance issues and experience in both the public and private sector, Sarah will be an asset to Shieldyourself and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome her on board.”
