The renowned Abode Hotel Group has contracted its entire health and safety management system out to Manchester compliance consultancy, Shieldyourself.
The deal, worth an undisclosed sum, will see Shieldyourself providing health and safety, food safety and fire safety management systems for Abode’s portfolio of four hotels, which includes sites in Manchester, Canterbury, Exeter and Glasgow.
Ros Young, Abode Group Human Resources Manager, explained that the initial contract is for two years but with Shieldyourself’s integrated systems already proving a success, she is sure the deal will continue long into the future.
“We now use Shieldyourself’s health and safety diary system as well as their online Trinity compliance manager and the feedback we have had from staff has been fantastic,” she stated.
“We have really appreciated how Shieldyourself’s team have listened to us and taken into account our requirements as well as simplified the entire compliance process across the three health and safety disciplines.
“Our executive chefs are exceptionally busy and are not particularly paperwork people; the Shieldyourself kitchen diaries have proven a particular hit as the chefs only need to complete a few pages rather than reams of files to continue being compliant,” Ros added.
Mark Flanagan, Managing Director at Shieldyourself (pictured), explained that Shieldyourself’s bespoke diary and online management systems are aimed at providing multi-location businesses with a consistent and continuous high level of compliance.
