Metronet shortlisted for BCS award
Metronet (UK) Limited has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award in the Organisational Excellence category.
The British Computing Society (BCS) & Computing ‘UK IT Industry Awards’ are a platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence.
David Clarke, Chief Executive Officer, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, says:
“Congratulations to the finalists; the competition to reach this stage of our prestigious Awards is tough. Our Awards are central to our mission to recognise the innovation and professionalism of those working in IT and I’m delighted that every year we have such a variety of high quality entries. They are an excellent reflection of the impact IT has on so many aspects of our information society and the potential IT has to transform business, society and our lives.”
In providing evidence that it met the criteria for the award, Metronet cited unparalleled levels of service and support for its innovative Business Internet leased lines services, converged communications services and Cloud based computing solutions. Numerous customer testimonials were presented to reinforce the fact that Metronet sets a new benchmark by which other IT suppliers are judged.
In commenting, Abigail Waraker, Editor of the leading national IT publication, Computing, said: “I would like to congratulate the finalists. The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged and to be announced as a finalist is a great achievement.”
“Metronet’s nomination in this category is just reward for the hard work of everyone at Metronet and their determination to set new standards by which all other IT suppliers are to be measured,” said Elliott Mueller CEO at Metronet (UK) Limited. “I know from speaking with customers, that Metronet has a special and unique IT offering and I am delighted that we are now getting recognition on a national stage.”
