All roads will lead to Manchester this September when Manchester Science Parks (msp) hosts an innovation and networking conference with a truly international flavour.
The United Kingdom Science Park Association (UKSPA) 25th Anniversary Conference is being hosted by msp at University Place, Oxford Road on Thursday, September 17th with the list of delegates including innovation representatives from Nigeria, Europe, China, Qatar, Chile, Kuwait, Iran, Israel and America.
The event, which includes a programme of national and international guest speakers from the academic, public and private sectors, will provide guests with a wide view of the current innovation system both in the UK and further afield.
“The UKSPA conference is a high profile event offering the global innovation community an opportunity to share best practice, exchange knowledge and set benchmarks,” explained Justyna Dabrowska, Project Executive - International Co-operation at Manchester Science Parks (msp).
“The fact the conference is being hosted in Manchester is, of course, an additional draw and the number of countries attending is a testament to the city’s international appeal and reputation for innovation across all sectors, from the arts to business.”
Keynote speaker at the conference will be Jonathan Kestenbaum, CEO of NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts), who will deliver a State of the Nation address based on NESTA’s diverse work throughout the United Kingdom.
In addition to Mr Kestenbaum, the list of speakers includes renowned American academic, Professor Henry Etzkowitz, who is Visiting Professor at Edinburgh Business School and Research Fellow at Stanford University, as well as Emma FitzGerald, Vice President, Downstream Strategy & Consultancy, Shell International Ltd.
