Cumbrian web development firm Changing Horizon Ltd have signed a virtual office agreement with Manchester Science Parks (msp).
Changing Horizon, which is based near Kendal in Cumbria, became a virtual tenant on Manchester Science Park at the end of March as a means of providing a city centre contact point for its Manchester clients.
The company’s Managing Director, Ben Muschamp, explained: “We have a lot of clients in Manchester and eventually we will have a permanent office there but until then a virtual office provides us with an important and cost effective contact point in the city.”
Under the terms of the agreement with msp, Changing Horizon benefit from a registered business address at the Science Park, a mail forwarding service and access to msp’s meeting room facilities and business development services, such as networking events and business advice seminars.
“As well as providing us with a physical base where we can meet our clients and other business contacts face to face, we are hoping a city address will prove advantageous in attracting more clients from the Manchester area,” Ben continued.
“The majority of click throughs on our website come from Manchester based companies so we will be monitoring how effective a city address is in increasing the number of enquiries we receive.”
If the virtual tenancy at msp proves successful, Ben hopes the future development of Changing Horizon will see the company with two offices - the current HQ in Cumbria supplemented by a second office in Manchester.
