ANS Group drives cloud and managed services expansion

Manchester-based business-solutions provider ANS Group is pleased to announce that it is expanding its cloud and managed services offerings having recently snapped up Martin Young and Darryl White from local rivals CMS.

The pair have joined ANS to take on the responsibility of driving the planned expansion into the cloud, providing the hugely-popular Infrastructure 3.0 as a service along with managed service offerings, allowing the technologies to be consumed without the need for significant up-front capital investment.

Martin Young has 15 years experience in a series of sales and marketing roles within IT service provision. "Both Darryl and I have experienced IT provision in both the role of provider and the role of the customer. We fully understand the challenges that a modern IT department faces in delivering first-class service to their users whilst dealing with increasing budget and resource pressures."

Darryl White has worked in the IT industry for over 10 years, including 3 spent as Head of IT Strategy for a multi-national transportation business. "Our experience within the industry will ensure that all of our solutions enable IT teams to make a real difference within their organisation. There are compelling arguments for consumption-driven IT service and ANS will deliver real Return on Investment to both Commercial and Public Sector clients, providing for rapid scalability without upfront investment, helping businesses to become more competitive and efficient."

Working with established technology partners Cisco, NetApp, VMware, Commvault & Microsoft, ANS now offer backup & archiving, system monitoring and configuration management, Exchange, SharePoint, Unified Communications and virtual server managed solutions that are designed to complement the work of customers' existing in-house IT teams by allowing them to focus on more strategic activities.

Each ANS managed service is completely private, allowing IT teams to maintain the network access and control that they require to deliver low-risk IT services to their organisation.

The individual managed service offerings are combined with a managed cloud infrastructure solution that provides customers with maximum system uptime and performance that is backed by business-focussed SLAs and consumed on a per-user ‘pay-as-you-grow' model.

Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of ANS, said, "This expansion opens an exciting new avenue for ANS Group and we are tremendously excited about the opportunities that it presents. More and more companies are attracted to the significant financial and operational benefits that can be realised by outsourcing IT functions to a secure cloud provider. With ANS' reputation within the industry as a trusted and capable business partner we expect to see managed services become a large part of our overall business strategy."
