The Manchester School of Excellence is a summer programme designed to give a group of Manchester’s brightest 16 year olds the opportunity to get some real work experience at the city’s top employers. The programme is aimed at students who have just completed their GCSEs and are moving onto A-Levels.
The 2009 programme will last four weeks and two of those will be spent on work placement. Each participant will be assigned to a company with one or two defined tasks to complete over the course of two weeks. He or she will have someone within the company assigned to them, to oversee their tasks and to complete a report at the end of the 2 week period. This will provide the student and the School with valuable feedback.
We would very much like companies in Manchester Science Park to participate in this year’s School.

27th July to 7th August
3rd to 14th August
10th to 21st August
