Each year msp staff nominate and sponsor a local charity through fundraising events. This years' nominated charity is Action for Children www.actionforchildren.org.uk .
Action for Children work with over 50,000 children and young people running 480 projects across the UK. They aim to improve the lives of children who suffer neglect, abuse or those with disabilities. They help to facilitate adoption and fostering, offer family support services and run schools for children with challenging behaviours and special needs. They also carry out research into child neglect and poverty and aim to influence government policy through campaigns.
I’m sure everyone would agree that Action for Children and the work they do represent a very worthwhile cause so please join in this year’s fundraising and encourage others to do the same.
